Hi! My name is Cheryl. FruityTravel is a blog designed for senior solo travelers. It focuses on tips, gadgets, sites, lodging for travelers who have been there and done that. It will feature some budget travel ideas, some luxury travel tips and ideas for in between.

Travel is more than buying a ticket and lodging. It is an attitude! Travel involves the work of learning and exploring and puts us in the mind of our childlike selves.

I am a seasoned independent international traveler for more than 40 years. Our family traveled in a private plane for years to avoid the high cost of air travel for a family of five. I have lived in two countries.
